August joined Wandervans in the Fall of 2016. August is a native Idahoan and graduate of Boise State University with a degree in Finance. August has been designing and creating for more than 20 years, with experience in custom furniture design, metal sculpture, welding, and contemporary modern art. That background is now being put to work to design unique bed frames and gear racks for use inside of our Camper vans. His goal is to design the most durable, yet functional bed frames that will allow renters to be incredibly comfortable, but still allow them to store and secure all of the necessary gear and toys inside of the van throughout their adventures.
August's outdoor interests span from snowboarding, fly fishing, traveling, and more. Recent goals include spending more time in the outdoors, visiting Yosemite, and enjoying tender moments with his newborn daughter. A recent quote from Edward Abbey that stuck with him: "Wilderness is not a luxury but necessity of the human spirit".
