Idaho Snowshoeing

Only an hour and half north of Boise is Cascade which offers lots of great snowshoes place all around Lake Cascade and in the surrounding mountains. A top destination for snowshoeing in the Cascade area is to drive the road to Warm Lake and stop at Big Creek Summit. There is a pullout at the summit where you can snowshoe on either side of the road.

McCall

A great snowshoe destination just outside of McCall is Ponderosa State Park. There are many miles of snowshoe trails or you can just head off on your own. Check out the winter trail map here.

Stanley

Only two hours from Boise is Stanley. There are ample destinations to explore, the snow is usually deep, and you will find lots of solitude.
